Orange County Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to offer gay employees the same benefits that heterosexual employees receive.
Gay couples employed by Orange County and their dependents will now receive the same benefits–health, dental, vision and life insurance benefits as their heterosexual counterparts.
The policy change will become effective January 1, 2012.
