A man who St. Cloud police say confessed to raping a woman multiple times, was arrested at his home early on Saturday morning.
Rodriguez-Rodriguez, 55, was taken into custody around 2:30 a.m., today, and charged with multiple counts of sexual battery.
After a woman told investigators that Rodriguez-Rodriguez raped her approximately 30 times throughout her life, police began an investigation earlier this week. Police say, Rodriguez-Rodriguez is known to the woman and the rapes occurred in several locations.
Rodriguez-Rodriguez was brought in for questioning and he cooperated with police. He admitted to detectives he sexually battered the woman.
Police say, a search of Rodriguez-Rodriquez’ home turned up electronic equipment which may store evidence of his crimes.
Rodriguez-Rodriquez was booked into the Osceola County Jail where he is being held without bond.
Investigators say, the case remains “open” and more information will be released at a later time.
