Orlando-based Rosen Hotels & Resorts has committed to sponsoring four townhomes in Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area’s first multifamily community, Stag Horn Villas. To complement the financial contribution, Rosen employees will also volunteer hundreds of hours to assist with the construction of the homes.
“Because of the generosity of companies like Rosen, we are able to continue our mission,” said Dee Danmeyer, president of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area, in a statement. “Each donation, sponsorship and volunteer brings us – and our homeowners – one step closer to our collective goal of building homes that strengthen communities.”
Located on Stag Horn Drive and Silver Star Road, Stag Horn Villas is a 10-building, 58-unit affordable townhome community, featuring green spaces and play areas.
“Donating to Habitat is not a one-time gift – it’s a home, it’s forever,” said Janice Abrew, communications and community affairs manager for Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “At Rosen, we are dedicated to giving back, and we are proud that through our efforts, we can help make the dream of homeownership a reality for four families.”
Stag Horn Villas is slated for completion in 2013.
