On a swing through Tallahassee on Wednesday, current GOP presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney stopped by the Seminole Wind restaurant to meet with community business leaders.

Romney also had some sharp words for President Barack Obama, taking aim at the president’s claims that he’s a warrior for the middle class.

“If that’s the case, I think there’s been a severe case of friendly fire. … If he’s a warrior for the middle class, boy, I’d hate to see it if he was a warrior against the middle class,” Romney said.
Supporters shared Romney’s focus on the economy, and his contention that Obama’s policies had not helped the private sector enough.

“It’s time somebody else had a chance,” said Wanda Olson, 86, of Tallahassee.
