Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina got 34 percent of the vote and former Miami-Dade County Commissioner Carlos Gimenez 29 percent on Tuesday to winnow the field to two for a June 28 runoff in the race for Miami-Dade County mayor.
Robaina and Gimenez had been the two frontrunners in the field of 11 to replace Carlos Alvarez, who was recalled in March.
