Shoot Out in Pine Hills, As Rappers Turn to Gunfire

Gunfire opened between members of two rival music/rap groups in the Winn Dixie parking lot, at the corner of Pine Hills and Silver Star Road earlier this afternoon, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.

According to OCSO:

At approximately 2:00 pm on March 16th, OCSO deputies responded to the scene of a shooting incident in the Winn Dixie parking lot at the corner of Pine Hills and Silver Star Road.  Detectives learned that, there were tensions between two rival music/rap groups regarding a music video that was being recorded.  One group was reportedly not happy about the presence of the other group in the area, and thus an argument began.  It appears that the argument escalated to the point where a suspect opened fire on the rival group and gunfire was returned.

Witnesses have reported that there is a victim who was injured by the gunfire and the individual was taken to hospital by a person on the scene.  Deputies have been unable to confirm this.

When deputies arrived on the scene, neither the victim nor suspects were around.

Earlier a perimeter was set up and parts of both Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road had both been closed.

Deputies are continuing with their investigation.
