Republican Party of Florida Raises More Money Than Florida Democratic Party

The Republican Party of Florida raised more money than the Florida Democratic Party in the first quarter of 2024, as both political parties prepare for Election Day.

The Republican Party of Florida raised over $3.5 million from 7,507 donors over the first quarter of 2024. The Florida Democratic Party raised $1.3 million from 5,271 contributions, but the FDP added “tens of thousands of dollars” were raised after the Florida Supreme Court rulings on abortion that were not reflected in the report.

Florida Democrats also celebrated back-to-back million dollar quarters in fundraising under Chair Nikki Fried, even though Republicans raised more money overall. The Democratic Party is looking to put Florida in play over abortion rights.

Despite the fact that the legislature was in session, which typically slows fundraising, the RPOF said the fundraising amount proves that they are ready for the fight ahead in the 2024 election. Republicans are preparing to continue their domination in the Sunshine State.

“The RPOF continues to keep the pressure on our opponents,” Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power said. “From massive wins in recent local elections to a tremendous fundraising report the party is continuing to dominate in Florida in ways we have never seen before. I look forward to taking the fight to the Democrats in November.”

In addition to this fundraising report, the Republican voter registration advantage continues to grow with now a nearly 900,000 voter advantage of the Florida Democrats.
