Real hip hop is back! L.A. Rapper Murs has stepped on the hip hop scene with his raw, edgy, thought-provoking, alternative sound.  With his deep voice, powerful lyrics, and classic old school beats, Murs had the over-flow crowd at the Backbooth, a popular beer and wine bar downtown Orlando last Friday night,  jumping, screaming  and hollowing for more.
Murs is not new to the rap game. He has been rapping for 15 years and this is his 7th album. Unlike some rappers, whose rhymes are misogynistic and saturated with profanity and violence, Murs’ rhymes convey a message.
The Love and Rockets album was named after Murs’ favorite comic book. On his album, Murs speaks the truth about love, and overcoming life’s struggles. It has a feel good, uplifting vibe that will have your head bobbing and moving from side-to-side.
Super producer Ski Beats who produced Jay-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt also produced Murs’ album Love and Rockets. Murs is signed to Blu Roc records, a new label owned by Damon Dash, who was the Co-founder of Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella records.
