On Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m., immigrants, workers and students will come together with community leaders and immigration advocates to rally for the rights of all people to work, live and stay together without fear of separation or exploitation.
An immigration reform bill that protects families and preserves the rights of workers is long overdue. We need our elected officials in Washington to act quickly on a comprehensive and inclusive solution. Each day that goes by over 1,400 families are separated, causing needless suffering in our communities.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. Light Latin and Haitian tapas will be served at the conclusion of the presentation.
