The 2013 Puerto Rican Leadership Summit will take place on September 18, 2013, at the University of Central Florida, Pegasus Ball Room, Student Union from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The theme of the Summit is “Puerto Ricans: Beyond the Numbers.” The summit will highlight not only the electoral power behind the Puerto Rican voting bloc, especially within the I-4 Corridor, but what the community has gained with it, how this translates into power, and how to keep it working for us.
This year’s Honorary Chair is Dr. Carlos Chardon, former Education Secretary for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
This year’s conference is very special to the NPRLCEF, not only because we will be reaching out to our youth, but will be recognize some illustrious Puerto Ricans that keep raising the bar higher for future generations to follow.
The Summit is being hosted by the National Puerto Rican Leadership Education Fund, in collaboration with the University of Central Florida’s Multicultural Student Center.
