President Trump Promises to ‘Keep Fighting For Christians As Hard As I Can’

President Donald Trump spoke Friday night at the Family Research Council’s annual Pray Vote Stand conference in Washington D.C. where he said he will “keep fighting for Christians as hard as I can.”

During his speech, the former Republican President said he delivered on every promise made to the Christian community. President Trump also said “Americans of faith are the soul of our country.”

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, said that President Trump is “a man who fights for what he believes in. He has fought for this country. He has fought for you and me. He has fought for the unborn in America.”

Some of the priorities outlined by Trump included a promise to cut federal funding for any school “pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children.” Trump also mentioned protecting Medicare and Social Security, showing those will be top issues in the Republican presidential primary and likely the general election.

Highlights from President Trump’s speech:

President Trump: “I come here tonight bearing a very simple message: no president has ever fought for Christians as hard as I have and I will keep fighting for Christians as hard as I can for four more years in the White House.”

President Trump: “Americans of faith are not a threat to our country. Americans of faith are the soul of our country.”

President Trump: “Every promise I made to Christians as a candidate, I delivered.”

President Trump: “The corrupt agencies will be defunded, the domestic spying will be halted, the real criminals will be investigated, and the rogue bureaucrats will be escorted right out of these beautiful federal buildings that we own all over the place.”

President Trump: “I will appoint a special task force to rapidly review the cases of every political prisoner who has been unjustly persecuted by the Biden administration.”

President Trump: “I will always protect Medicare and Social Security for our great seniors.”

President Trump: “Upon my inauguration, I will terminate every open border policy of the Biden administration and commence the largest deportation operation in American history. We have no choice. This is not sustainable.”

President Trump: “On Day One, I will sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children.”

President Trump: “We are not going to allow this horror to continue. Three years ago, we were a great nation and we will soon be a great nation again.”

Trump’s Republican opponent Ron DeSantis also delivered remarks the Pray Vote Stand Summit.
