Posing as Servicemen, Armed Suspects Rob Elderly

Deputies are searching for two white male armed suspects who committed the same type of crimes–robbing the elderly–while posing as servicemen.
Investigators say that on October 28, two white male suspects knocked on a home and posed as maintenance men, saying they have been sent to cut a tree in the back of the home. The men sometimes say they have come to make some sort of repairs.  One will distract the victim talking to her/him outside the rear of the home or some other out of the way place, while the second suspect burglarizes the residence.

In one of the burglaries on October 28, jewelry, rifles, and a digital camera were stolen.   A similar burglary took place on the same day.

The suspects made off in a silver Ford focus.

One suspect is described as in his 50-60s, wearing a white shirt, tan pants, black tennis shoes and a baseball cap, about 5’7″ – 5’11” tall.

The second suspect, in his 40s, wore a black and red baseball type jersey with an unknown logo on the front of it, about 5’7″ – 5’10” tall.

Deputies want all citizens to be alert and vigilant to alleged servicemen claiming to perform a service that was not requested.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at # 1-800-423-8477.
