Poor Sick FAMU Law School

But FAMU School of Law has not been so lucky little more than two short blocks
away.  Orlando “outbid” Tampa, and Daytona Beach for the new 21st Century school of law, by promising more than $10 million and a suitable vacant site for the new building.
The City purchased a site now said to be worth $28 million or so–if it ever is sold as is.   The City turned the property over to the FAMU Law School itself.

Testing of the soil in 2002, before the building was placed there, revealed unacceptable levels of pollutants.  In 2004, before the doors were opened for business, the levels still were deemed unacceptable.   For more, click here
