On Friday, a jury found John Goodman, a South Florida polo mogul, guilty of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide in a crash that killed UCF graduate Scott Wilson, msnbc.com reports.
According to police, a drunken Goodman, founder of the International Polo club Palm Beach, rammed his black Bentley convertible into Wilson’s car on the night of Febraury 12, 2010, causing it to roll into a canal.
Police also say, Goodman left the scene of the crash and waited nearly an hour to call 911 as Wilson died. He was found to have a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.
Goodman will be sentenced on April 30. He faces up to 30 years in prison.
