Floridians are overwhelmingly in favor of a medical marijuana initiative that could be on the ballot next year.
A new survey by Public Policy Polling which revealed that 62% of Floridians say they would support it and only 26 percent are opposed.
There is also a bipartisan consensus on the issue with independents (74/17) and Democrats (68/20) supporting it overwhelmingly, the survey found.
Even Republicans support the medical marijuana initiative by a narrow margin (46/41), the survey showed.
The poll was conducted during September 27-29, 2013 among 579 Florida voters.
