Police officers are observing a new crime called the “bump and rob” and are warning Palm Beach County drivers to exercise caution, particularly when driving during the hours of midnight to 6:00 am, reports the Palm Beach Post.
Police are urging drivers not to get out of their vehicles, if another car bumps you from behind.
From Palm Beach Gardens to Delray Beach, drivers are being robbed at gunpoint and shot.
“It’s very serious,” said Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Eric Davis. “We’re sending out warnings and tips because it is serious.”
