Police are searching for a suspect who opened fire on a man in a driveway near his home on County Club Circle, in Sanford.
The victim, Joseph Smith, told Sanford police, he was followed in his vehicle and fired on by a suspect, later identified as Tremell Deon Noble, 26, while in a driveway at 109 County Club Circle, not far from his own residence.
The victim also told police, as he got out of his vehicle, he observed three other black males with Noble. It is unclear whether any of the passengers with Noble also opened fire.
Police say, several rounds struck the residence, two entering through the living room window.
Smith was not injured in the shooting nor were any children nearby, hurt. Smith told detectives he ran inside, retrieved his firearm for which he has a concealed weapons permit, and returned fire.
Noble’s vehicle is described as blue in color, four Pontiac Grand Am with dark tinted windows.
Police say, an active felony warrant is out for Tremell Deon Noble, for the charge of “Attempted Homicide.”
The investigation is ongoing.
