On Monday, Orlando police released surveillance video of a man who robbed the Comfort Suites located at 2416 N. Orange Avenue, last Friday.
The suspect, who wore a ski mask, entered the hotel just before 11:30 p.m., and approached the front desk. Â He pointed a handgun at the front desk clerk, Â jumped over the counter and ordered the clerk to empty the cash register. The clerk complied.
Police also learned that the suspect demanded the clerk empty his wallet and get down on the floor.
The man jumped back over the counter, before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash – from the register and the clerk.
The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5′ 8″ tall, with a slim build and soft-spoken. He was carrying a silver semi automatic pistol during the robbery.
