24-year-old Daniel Porter was arrested just before 5:00 p.m., at the rental home of his father, Stephen McCausland, Maine Department of Public Safety said in a statement, bangordailynews.com reports.

Porter is expected to be booked into the Waldo County Jail later today.

Porter was named a person of interest last week. Police interviewed him, along with his 23-year-old girlfriend, Cheyanne Nowak, as it was believed the couple were the last people to see Perdomo.

Maine detectives also searched the same house last week, where Porter was arrested today.

Perdomo’s wife, Tanya Perdomo said during a clearly uncomfortable press conference yesterday, she “still forsees him coming home… and I hope that this happens.”

Tanya Perdomo said, since her husband’s disappearance, it has been really difficult. She also told the media that he had gone to Bangor, Maine to help someone move, and this wasn’t unsual for him to help someone.

Tanya, along with two Seminole County firefights went to Maine last week to join the search for the missing firefighter.

“It was hard coming back without him,” she said.
