Police: Operation West Side Sleigh Ride Nets 19

Nearly two dozen people have been arrested as a result of an undercover narcotics operation spanning a three-month period, Ocoee police said Thursday.

Dubbed ‘Operation West Side Sleigh Ride,’ narcotics agents targeted street level dealers primarily in the city of Ocoee.

According to a statement from the Ocoee police, 19 arrest warrants were issued and currently 7 suspects are in custody.  Two additional arrests were made Thursday and 31 grams of crack cocaine was seized during a search warrant executed in Winter Garden.

Authorities said, charges include the sale and delivery of cocaine, oxycodone, and ecstacy, among other illicit drugs.

The operation will go well into Thursday evening with the expectation that all suspects will be taken into custody.

Operation West Side Sleigh Ride was conducted by undercover narcotics agents from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, City of Ocoee Police Department and the City of Winter Garden Police Department.
