A 33-year-old man was shot and killed in Sanford on Wednesday night and police believe that robbery was the motive for the murder.
Marcus Killingsworth, 33, was standing in front of a residence at 1119 West 12th Street, just after 10:00 p.m., when he was approached by two unknown males.
Police say, an altercation took place between the men and one or both suspects opened fire, shooting Killingsworth multiple times.
Killlingsworth was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The motive for the murder appears to be robbery, police also said.
