Police: Man Arrested for 3 Execution-Style Murders in 1970’s

A man who investigators say, murdered three people in West Virginia more than thirty years ago, was arrested Thursday by U.S. Marshals and officers of Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force.

59-year-old Eddie Jack Washington is suspected of killing 3 individuals, execution style, in West Virginia in the 1970’s.

Authorities say, information had recently been developed identifying Washington as the alleged shooter and a warrant was issued for his arrest yesterday, by the Fairmont Police Department in West Virginia.

Authorities also say, around 11:30 a.m. today, Washington was followed via mobile surveillance from his resident in the 2400 block of E. 17th Avenue in Tampa, to the Friendly Meet and Grocery at 1910 N. 34th Street in Tampa.

Washington was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Tampa Police Department, for further questioning by homicide detectives.
