Orlando police arrested a man who they say is responsible for the shooting death of 29-year-old Ernest Joseph, killed on April 5, downtown Orlando.

Deandrew Scott, 24, was taken into custody Wednesday, and charged with first degree murder in Joseph’s death.

Police arrived in the 1000 block of W. Washington Street in the early morning hours of April 5 where they found a man, later identified as Joseph, dead at the scene. Another man, Kevin Moses, 31, was also injured as a result of the shooting.

Investigators have not offered a motive for Joseph’s killing. It is unclear if Scott and Joseph were known to each other.

Scott was booked into the Orange County Jail earlier today.
