Police Looking for Rapist, Armed with a Knife

Orlando Police detectives are searching for a man armed with a knife, who raped a woman in her home on south Semoran Boulevard on Saturday morning. It is believed that the man fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.

According to OPD:

Detectives responded to the 3300 block on south Semoran Blvd around 7:30 am on Saturday, after receiving a call in reference to a burglary and rape.

The adult victim stated that while she was asleep she was awakened by a Hispanic male. The suspect raped the victim and then fled the residence. The man was last seen running through the parking lot.

Police used a K9 to which tracked a scent but it ended with negative results.  The suspect may have entered an unknown type of vehicle.

The victim was transported to the SATC where she was further interviewed and medically examined.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’7″ tall, about 240 lbs. He has unknown tattoos all over his legs below his left knee.

Police learned that, although the suspect attempted to cover his face with a T-Shirt, the victim recognized him as a person who had been seen hanging around the complex in the past and may have gone by the name of “Jose”. The suspect was armed with a knife.
