A deceased person was found inside a home in Haines City and police are treating the death as suspicious.
Investigators went to the residence located at 421 North 21Street in Haines City, to conduct a well-being check. The resident had not been seen since 9:00 p.m., last Saturday.
Police arrived just before 3:30 pm, Monday and found a deceased person inside a bedroom.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators, along with officers from the Polk County Sheriff’s office are working the scene.
Police said, the death is being treated as suspicious.
The identity of the person has not been disclosed. Also, it is not clear how the person was killed.
The investigation is ongoing.
