Tampa Police are investigating after members of the Dive Team recovered the body of an adult male from the water.
On January 6th just before 3:15pm, Tampa police responded to a report of a deceased person in the water near the 2400 block of Chapin St.
Police have positively identified the individual as Armando Guzman-Ortiz as the person found.
Guzman-Ortiz lives nearby and was reported missing on December 26, 2024 according to local law enforcement.
Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this Central Florida incident but no foul play is suspected at this point in the investigation.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
