Police have released the photo of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man in Sanford on Thursday.
Police believe Treyvius Duval gunned down 25-year-old Freddie Barriner, at the intersection of Celery Avenue and Summerlin Avenue, after the two men got into a fight.
So far, investigators have learned Barriner received a telephone call from his sister, Shirley Barriner, who told him that Duval had been folling her in his vehicle. Shirley and Duval were known to each other, but police are unsure of the exact nature of the relationship.
Duval crashed his vehicle into Shirley’s at the intersection of Celery Avenue and Summerlin Avenue. When Freddie Barriner showed up a short while later, the two men fought. Duval pulled out a handgun and shot Freddie, police said.
Freddie Barriner was taken to the Central Florida Regional Hospital when he later died.
Police said, Duval fled the scene and his whereabouts are unknown.
