A man is recovering from a head wound after he was stabbed by his girlfriend with a butcher knife, Daytona Beach police said.
48-year-old Kenneth Hilton, told police, he and his unnamed girlfriend were arguing at a residence in the 400 block of Henry Butts early on Thursday morning, when he left to go to her father’s house in the 600 block of Hawk Street.
Hilton said, a few minutes later, his girlfriend turned up and pulled a butcher knife from her purse. Hilton also told police, he picked up a table to defend himself and fell on the floor. That’s when the woman stabbed him once in the back of his head.
Police are currently interviewing the woman who is expected to be charged with aggravated battery. Her identity will be released once formal charges have been filed, police said.
