A Port St. Lucie teenager is behind bars, accused of killing his parents last Saturday, then throwing a house party.
According to police, 17-year-old Tyler Hadley bludgeoned his parents, Blake Hadley, 54, and Mary-Jo Hadley, 47, to death, using a hammer.
Investigators received an anonymous tip from a caller and went to the home at 371 Northeast Grandeur Avenue around 4:20 a.m. on Sunday.
The bodies of Blake and Mary-Jo Hardley were still in the family home, when a nervous Tyler opened the door to detectives.
Officers found the victims’ bodies locked in the master bedroom and covered with household items–towels and linens–to conceal them.
About 40-60 people attended the house party.
Investigators believe that Tyler killed his parents before the party began at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night.
