Police Arrest One in Mears Cab Driver Shooting

Orlando Police detectives have arrested one of the suspects who robbed and opened fire on a Mears cab driver in the vicinity of OBT and Gore Street on June 2.  AB Moses Harriell, 18 years, was arrested yesterday June 8th.  He has been charged with attempted second degree murder and robbery with a firearm.

On June 2, three black males robbed and opened fire on a Mears cab driver in the vicinity of OBT and Gore Street.  One of the suspects directed the driver to the rear of the Royal Summit Apartments. At this time, the suspect brandished a handgun and punched the cab driver in the face.  The suspect then fired a round at the driver.  At this point, the victim (Driver) was able to disarm the suspect and return fire. The suspects were not located after an extensive search with K-9 and Orange County Chase.

Police say that Harriell is the only suspect in custody at this time.   He was booked in the Orange County Jail around 10:31 am, yesterday.

Arrests are pending in relation to the two other suspects.
