Sanford Police arrested on Wednesday a suspect who they believe shot and killed another man following an altercation on Sunday.
Kishawn Jones was taking into custody around 3:00 pm, after police received a call from a citizen alerting them that he was in the area where the murder occurred.
Police say, Jones pumped three bullets into 28-year-old Leonard Lamar Boone at the Rosalia Manor Apartments located at 2750 Hartwell Avenue in Sanford. Witnesses told investigators the two men had an altercation. Jones then turned to shoot a witness, but his gun jammed, police said. Jones had fled the scene on foot.
Jones was arrested three days later without incident. He was taken to the Sanford Police Department for questioning and then to the Seminole County Jail.
