Eleven months after popular Orlando bass guitarist, Ralph Ameduir, Jr., was gunned down, Winter Haven police have charged an 18-year-old teen with his murder.

On Thursday, Samuel Sweet, Jr. was taken into custody and booked into the Polk County Jail, after a Grand Jury issued an indictment earlier today.

Sweet has been charged with first degree murder, four counts of attempted armed robbery with a firearm and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

Ameduir, 45, was shot last September in the parking area behind Jessie’s Bar. He was taken to Winter Haven Hospital and to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

An armed suspect, now identified as Sweet, was discovered robbing people in the area on the evening Amediur was shot.

Ameduir played bass guitar for The Legendary Jcs or Joint Chiefs for seven years from 2001 to 2008.
