A 16-month-old child was kidnapped from his mother early on Monday morning, and Orlando police would like the public’s help in locating the toddler.

Authorities say, the child, Adonis Strawter, was forcibly taken from his mother by his non-custodial father, Timothy Strawter.   The incident happened in the 2500 block of West Colonial Drive around 6:00 a.m.

Police also say, several attempts to meet with Timothy to take custody of Adonis have failed.   As Timothy is refusing to cooperate, police is seeking the public’s help in locating the toddler.

Adonis was last seen wearing brown pants, a blue shirt and a red and blue jacket.  He could be traveling with Timothy in a 2008, black Infiniti G37, FL tag number 188NTH.

Anyone with information on Adonis’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Orlando Police Department at # 321-235-5300.

  1. If he is with a biological parent, it is not the same as a stranger abduction and the headline should not use the word kidnapping, in my opinion. I also think amber alerts should not be used if a non-custodial parent is involved. It’s wrong if they do that, but not on the same level as when a stranger kidnaps a child.
