On Monday, Poinciana Medical Center officially opened its doors to the public. The new hospital brings expanded healthcare access to Osceola and Polk Counties.

“I know how excited the Poinciana community is to finally have a quality hospital close to home,” said Joanna Conley, CEO of Poinciana Medical Center at the grand opening ceremony. “We are committed to serving this vibrant, growing community and we are proud to have its support.”

Located at 325 Cypress Parkway in Kissimmee, the new $65 million, 100,000-square-foot hospital boasts a full range of inpatient and outpatient acute/emergency care services, including surgery, laboratory, pharmacy and diagnostic imaging. The facility includes 24 private medical-surgical beds, a six-bed ICU, an 11,000-square-foot Emergency Department and a helicopter pad for rapid transport of critically ill patients. In addition, the campus houses a 42,000-square-foot medical office building with leasable space for physicians.

Poinciana Medical Center employs about 200 full-time staff members.  In addition, the hospital has more than 110 physicians as part of its medical staff.
