A 19-year-old pregnant woman has accused her husband and in-laws of battering her and threatening to sell her baby for $5,000, Hollywood police reports say.
Pamela Stanley claimed 20-year-old Jacob Mitchell, and his parents, Shirley John, 42, and Steven Robert Carr, 41, attacked her when she was 34 weeks pregnant. All three were arrested Wednesday, and each has been charged with one count of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman.
Mitchell told investigating officers that he argued with Stanley about an ex-girlfriend, but denied hitting her. A judge ordered that he and his parents be held on $10,000 bond apiece, and that they have no contact with Stanley.
