Planned Parenthood Action Fund has once again endorsed Representative Darren Soto for re-election to Congress.
“We are proud to endorse Rep. Soto because he has been an unwavering supporter of reproductive rights,” said Acting President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Alexis McGill Johnson. “He has always stood by us and we are confident that he will continue to do so for years to come.”
Since the beginning of his career, Rep. Soto has been a champion of reproductive rights and civil rights. During his time in the Florida Senate, he fought to defeat a 24-hour abortion waiting period bill and successfully advocated to double the statute of limitations for crimes of sexual violence. In Congress, Rep. Soto has proudly co-sponsored legislation such as the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance Act of 2017 and the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2017.
When receiving the endorsement, Rep. Soto said, “At a time when a woman’s right to choose remains in jeopardy, I proudly stand with Planned Parenthood Action Fund and am honored to receive their endorsement. Together we will work to protect equal healthcare rights for women everywhere.”
