Thirty years ago, Physician Associates, then known as the Orlando Health Care Group (OHCG) opened its doors with a handful of employees and two physicians. It was a move that would forever change the face of healthcare options for Central Floridians. Now, as they celebrate their 30th anniversary, Physician Associates boasts 670 employees, including 96 physicians. Annually, the physician group records more than half a million patient visits and delivers over 3,000 babies, which equates to more than eight births a day.

With more than 25 locations around Central Florida, Physician Associates is where families can turn to for high quality, easy access to healthcare. Just this flu season alone, Physician Associates has given more than 29-thousand flu shots to adults and children.

“I have had the privilege of being a part of this group for 19 of the last 30 years, and I am so proud of the organization that we have become,” said Dennis Buhring, President, Physician Associates. “Our physicians and employees share in a deep commitment to provide the highest quality care to our patients and in turn our patients proudly refer to themselves as Physician Associates families. I want to express my gratitude to our staff, physicians and all of our families, who continue to believe in what we do every day and have helped create the Physician Associates of today. I want to also give special recognition to three of our employees who have been with us since the beginning: Margaret Bashore, Candy Earlywine and Dr. Howard Pelteson. Thank you for your thirty years of service.”
