Troopers are investigating a traffic accident in which a 31-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup truck.
The pedestrian fatality on US 192 near St. Cloud Village Court occurred around 9:45 p.m., Friday, said Florida Highway Patrol.
Jason Mattos-Perez, 31, of Kissimmee, died on the spot, after he was hit by a Dodge pick-up that was traveling eastbound on US 192. The pick-up was being driven by Lisa Tindall, 50, of Fruitland Park.
Troopers say, Tindall traveled onto the paved shoulder where Mattos-Perez was walking with his wife.
It is not clear why Tindall went off the roadway.
FHP said, charges are pending.
