Recently, Owens Realty Services (ORS) – a full-service real estate services company based in Orlando, Fla. – celebrated the company’s 2013 Bi-Annual Florida Rising Star Award Ceremony at the Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) – a 70-acre, non-profit “storybook” resort for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
The event honored employees that demonstrated exceptional customer service and a work ethic that embodied Owens Realty Service’s philosophy and culture. Award recipients were nominated by their supervisors and managers, and awards were presented by the company’s Executive Team. Many of the recipients of the Rising Star awards go on to be promoted to supervisor and management positions.
Bill Souffront, Vice President for Owens Realty Services and recipient of the President’s Super Star award, said “This award meant a lot, but the location meant even more. I had no idea what GKTW did and how much the organization impacts the lives of struggling families. As I received the award, I thought about the loss of my daughter Zanabiah Lee Souffront. She passed away after battling Leukemia in 2000. I’m going to go back to volunteer my time with the nonprofit. This was a powerful day for all involved.”
“We’re so proud of this year’s Rising Stars,” said Bob Owens, President & CEO of ORS. “Having the awards at the Give Kids the World Village was inspiring to us all, and we look forward to giving back to the community in 2014.”
Currently managing close to $1 billion in real estate net worth, the Owens Realty Services portfolio includes a number of Florida-based properties, such as commercial/investment properties, high-rise residential complexes, public and private school systems, college and university campuses, state judicial facilities, government buildings, places of public assembly, and commercial and medical facilities. The company employs approximately 1,000 real estate industry professionals within four states.
