Oviedo Medical Center Constructs $17M HCA Florida Maitland Emergency

Oviedo Medical Center, an affiliate of HCA Florida Healthcare, recently began construction on the new $17.7 million HCA Florida Maitland Emergency located at the corner of Maitland Blvd (SR 414) and Forest City Road (SR 434) in Maitland, Florida.




HCA Florida Maitland EmergencySlated to open in spring of 2024, the approximately 11,000 square-foot Orange County facility will be expected to serve in excess of 300,000 local greater Orlando residents. In addition, the facility will employ approximately 40 full-time healthcare professionals.

HCA Florida Maitland Emergency will be a full-service, state-of-the-art emergency room with board certified emergency medicine physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals ready to service the needs of the community with the same capabilities as a main hospital emergency room. It will feature 11 emergency exam rooms, CT scan, digital X-ray, ultrasound, on-site laboratory services, and will be capable of caring for all ages, including pediatrics.

The opening of this new freestanding ER is part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion in Central Florida.

“We are pleased to be able to provide expanded access to emergency care in the Maitland community and the surrounding area”, said KC Donahey, Chief Executive Officer of Oviedo Medical Center. “HCA Florida Maitland Emergency will provide high-quality, comprehensive care 24 hours a day/7 days a week by board certified physicians close to families’ homes.”

The freestanding ER construction site is located on 9401 Summit Centre Way in Maitland and will treat families with all types of acute injuries and illnesses, around the clock, every day of the year.

Oviedo Medical Center, the state-of-the-art 64-bed acute care hospital, provides a full range of healthcare services to east Seminole County and surrounding communities.
