Earlier this month, the Orlando Police Department reported another drug bust of a convicted felon after a traffic stop.
Members of OPD’s TAC Unit conducted a traffic stop while working on the beat and probable cause was established to search the vehicle, according to police. The search resulted in the recovery of over 3 pounds of cannabis, including 75 individually packaged bags for resale, a large amount of cash, and a loaded firearm:
According to OPD, the driver was found to be a three-time convicted felon. Local police said he was arrested and charged accordingly.
With local crime, guns, violence and drugs all remaining problems around Orlando and downtown under Mayor Buddy Dyer, OPD remains very busy keeping the city safe. Local police remind all residents to remember, “See Something, Say Something” by calling Crimeline or 9-1-1.
