The Governor’s office has confirmed that emails stored on the Gov. Rick Scott’s iPad were accidentally deleted in a possible violation of the state’s open records law, reports the St. Petersburg Times.
A staff person accidentally deleted the emails when trying to print documents from the iPad, the Times reports.
Several media outlets, including the St. Petersburg Times, have made public requests requests for emails and other documents from Scott’s transition. The paper reports this is the second time emails have been deleted that should have been publicly available.
Scott has reportedly ordered an investigation into why the first batch of emails was deleted from a private server.
