Peace, Love and Osceola County Fair is the theme for the upcoming 2014 Fair which takes place February 14 – 23, 2014. Fair goers will be treated to 70’s style decorations, souvenirs and musical performers bringing back all the favorite music of the 1970’s.
New to this year’s free daily entertainment lineup is FAME Racing, which offers interactive remote control car racing tournaments, complete with trophies & prizes. Neecha Braun’s Amazing Dobermans is a non-stop high energy motorcycle themed K-9 show and Hubba Bubba’s Clown Show brings the audience into the act with comedy, magic and juggling. Joining the entertainment line up on Friday- Sunday, February 21 – 23 is Yesterdayze, a six-piece band with great vocals, re-creating favorite songs from the 60’s & 70’s era.
The hard hitting fast paced Demolition Derby returns on Friday, February 14 at 7 P.M. This popular event is only $5.00 per person plus General Fair Admission of $5.00 for Adults and $3.00 for Seniors and Children 5 – 11, Kids 4 and under are free. Senior Citizens (60+) are free on Opening Day! Locals are encouraged to enter a car for only $30 with a chance to win $1,000.00!
Additional Entertainment Acts for the Anniversary Fair include Rosaire’s Racing Pigs, Dare Devil’s Wall of Death, The Sweeney Brothers Band, Eudora Farms Exotic Petting Zoo, and more!
Strates Shows Midway features over 80 rides and games. Traditional Fair favorites such as the Pie Eating contest, Baby Show and Children’s Pet show return as part of the ten-day celebration. The addition of a Truck pull has been added to the Tractor Pull on Saturday, February 15. There will also be art and craft exhibits entered by local residents and 4-H members. Livestock Shows and Sales will take place in the KVLS Pavilion.
