Central Florida’s go-to pet expert Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando announced the official kickoff of the popular, 8th annual pet photo contest, branding it as the “My Best Friend Wine Label Contest.” In partnership with Quantum Leap Winery, the photo contest gives proud pet parents the chance to have their furry family member featured on a wine label.
Entries are being accepted now through July 31, 2021. Voting will open between August 1st-21st, with a $1 donation per vote. The number one dog and number one cat with the most votes will have their image, name and short story featured on a wine label for the 2021 My Best Friend Wine produced by Quantum Leap Winery in Orlando, Florida, plus tickets to Pet Alliance’s annual gala Furball. New this year, the top 10 pets in each category will receive “pawsome” prizes as well.
“We are very happy to kick off our annual pet photo contest where proud pet parents like me get the chance to show off their fur baby and support a wonderful cause,” says Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando Executive Director Stephen Bardy. “We are very grateful for the support our organization receives through the contest, and we are excited to give away even more prizes this year and see all of the adorable animals entered.”
Quantum Leap will host a special art show with all the labels in October. All proceeds from the photo contest and the sale of the wine benefit the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando to shelter pets in need. Pet Alliance has raised a total of $220,000 from the contest.
