During last week’s Central Orlando Writer’s reading and signing event held at the Central Orlando library, one of the authors didn’t quite make it to print. As a result, I now formally introduce Judy.
JOY COMETH IN THE MORNING; The Joy Postle Blackstone Story
Penned by Judy Madsen Johnson, local author residing in Oviedo, Florida, Joy Postle Blackstone made Central Florida home. Known as the “Glamour Bird Artist,” poet, musician, and environmentalist, Blackstone painted murals that graced hotels, homes, banks, and Rollins College. Linked to Charles Lindberg, Carl Sandberg, “Ma” Kate Barker, and President Andrew Jackson, her stories are retold in the first person.
Readers may find Ms. Johnson’s books online at iUniverse, e-Books, and coming soon to Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, etc.
If there’s an event supporting local artists, authors, or entertainers, remember your West Orlando News Online team wants to inform the world of our talent. Let us know your thoughts… and we’ll return the favor.
With Central Florida in our hearts, we are your source for what’s happening, and I am
