Last week, Orlando Police Department Downtown Bike officers responded to a disturbance in the area of 135 W. Central Blvd. The victim, a male in his fifties, was severely beaten and stomped on, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. Violent Crimes detectives obtained surveillance images of the area of the incident that led to a possible suspect.
Through their investigative efforts, Violent Crimes detectives apprehended the suspect and identified him as Christopher Blue. While being interviewed, Blue confessed to stomping the victim’s head several times. He has since been charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder. The victim remains in the hospital in critical condition.
“Great job by our Criminal Investigations Division in apprehending this violent individual,” OPD said.
