An Orlando traffic stop led to the discovery of firearms, illegal drugs and cash.
According to the Orlando Police Department, what began as a traffic stop near Gore St. and Parramore Ave. quickly led to a larger investigation after OPD officers recovered guns, illegal drugs, and cash.
As the investigation developed, officers identified a residence connected to the operation. OPD SWAT and the Parramore Bike Unit later executed a search warrant at the location, where additional firearms, narcotics, THC products, pills, digital scales, packaging materials, and thousands of dollars in cash consistent with illegal drug distribution were recovered, according to local law enforcement.
Multiple arrests were and several felony charges were filed as a result of the investigation.
According to OPD: Meric Harrison was arrested and charged with possession of weapon in commission of felony, unlawful use of two way communication device, drug possession – possession intent to sell/mfg/deliver controlled substance schedule 1, possession w/intent to sell new/legend drug, possession legend drug w/out prescription w/intent, conspiracy to traffic cannabis, posession cannabis w/intent sell/del w/weapon, posession cannabis >20 grams w/a weapon. Keshaina Wilson was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis <20 grams. Erika Bearden was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis <20 grams, flee/elude police w/lights siren active, and resisting officer without violence.
“Great teamwork by all units involved in helping remove illegal drugs and firearms from our streets,” the Orlando Police Department posted.
