The city of Orlando will terminate the current lease of the Orlando Predators at the Amway Center, as the team has fallen short on the number of attendees who turned up during the 2013 season.
The Arena Football League team’s lease is expected to be formally terminated next Monday, the orlandosentinel.com reported.
However, the team’s managing partner, David Pearsall says the city’s calculation of the scanner/turnstile count is wrong, the paper also reported.
While the current lease agreement is set to be terminated, city officials say there is a chance a new agreement could be struck before the start of the new season next spring.
