Orlando Police Recover Over 100 Pounds of Cannabis, Rifles, Handguns

During recent investigations, detectives with the Orlando Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division (SED) have made significant recoveries of crime guns and illegal drugs.

In one investigation SED detectives seized eight crime guns from two convicted felons: four AR-style rifles and four handguns. Three of the handguns and one of the rifles were found to be stolen.

OPD said the two suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

In a separate search warrant, detectives recovered over 100 pounds of cannabis, 100 pounds of THC wax, and a firearm from a drug trafficker who was arrested and charged.

“Great job to our SED detectives,” OPD posted.

Local crime, guns, violence and drugs all remain problems around Orlando and downtown under Mayor Buddy Dyer’s administration, and OPD remains very busy keeping the city safe. Police remind all residents to remember, “See Something, Say Something” by calling Crimeline or 9-1-1.
