Orlando Police Open Fire on Suspect, After Nightclub Shooting

A shooting incident at an Orlando club early this morning has left one victim in critical condition and another with non-life threatening injuries after an Orlando police officer opened fire to take down one of the suspects.

Police were called to the Roxy Orlando nightclub at 740 Bennett Road on the Eastside, in reference to a shooting incident, just after 2:30 am on Saturday.

One of men engaged in the shooting left the Roxy night club, but police were able to locate the suspect’s white pick-up truck and engaged in a pursuit on Mills Avenue.

Police said, the driver, later identified as 24-year-old Craig Lawrence Leblanc, Jr., lost control of the pick-up truck while attempting to make a left turn onto Leith Avenue in order to avoid a train.   He was seen fleeing from the vehicle with a gun.

Lebranc was seen fleeing the pick-up with a gun.  That’s when police fired on him.  Leblanc, who sustained non-life threatening injuries was taken to a local area hospital for treatment.
